SCUBA classes are offered in both group and private format. The group lessons usually take 7 weeks (one night orientation and 6 classes, one night per week). Private lessons take less time and the pace is set by the desire and ability of the student. Classes in the private format can be on various days/evenings/weekends to accommodate the busy person with changing schedules.

TOTALLY PRIVATE LESSONS AND PRIVATE OPEN WATER CHECKOUTS Are you interested?
I have seen a trend where people are willing to pay more in order to get individual, personal dive training.   Many would also prefer to have their instructor do the open water checkouts in a one-on-one format.    I have the answer and frankly, it makes sense.  If you have interest in this accelerated format, please contact me.

REGULAR PRIVATE LESSON FORMAT
In this format, the classroom and pool portions are one-on-one.  After this is completed, you would then join a group of dive students for the open water (ocean) checkouts.  Though this costs more than group lessons where a “group” takes all portions of the course together, it is more economical than the private checkout format in that the normal group “open water checkout fee” remains the same.

RESORT REFERRALS
I also offer “Resort referrals” where you do your academic and pool classes one-on-one locally, then take your paperwork with you and get your checkout with a certified professional dive instructor at the location you plan your vacation.  If you would like more information on this just contact me.

SPECIALTY (ADVANCED TRAINING) COURSES
Are you going on one of my trips?  (See “Adventures”).   If so, contact me about taking specialty courses
that count toward your advancement to Advanced Open Water Diver or Master Diver.  You can do the academic portions in advance (Home study) then we can conduct your checkouts during the trip.  As you know, the trips are always to nice, warm water locations!

Some of the specialty courses you might be interested in are Nitrox Diving, Boat Diving, Night Diving, Deep Diving, Computer Diving and/or Advanced Navigation Diving.   NOTE: You do not have to have a lot of previous dives to take these courses, they are meant to “advance” your current level of training and experience.
